    60 minutes X 10 sessions

Film & Television Acting (10 Lessons) Focus: Authentic, camera-specific work for beginners & intermediates.

Core influences: Strasberg (sense memory for close-ups), Meisner (moment-to-moment truth), Stanislavski (objectives adapted to tiny beats), plus my own professional film & TV experience (audition & self-tape techniques, on-set technique and etiquette, acting listening, anchoring, finding agreement, uninterrupted thought).

Format: Zoom, 60–120 minutes, depending on class size.

Lesson 1 – The Camera Is Your Scene Partner Objective: Understand screen vs. stage energy. • Strasberg relaxation on camera (close-up framing). • Eye-line exercises (lens vs. off-camera). • “I am here” repetition straight to camera. Homework: Film 30-sec “who am I?” introduction.

Lesson 2 – Sense Memory for the Close-Up Objective: Trigger real emotion in 4–6 inches of frame. • Strasberg coffee-cup / rain-on-skin in extreme close-up. • Record and playback; discuss what reads vs. what feels. • Subtle facial micro-expressions. Homework: Daily 5-min sense-memory to camera.

Lesson 3 – Given Circumstances & Tiny Objectives Objective: Make every beat specific for the edit. • Stanislavski circumstances for a 1-page self-tape scene. • “I want…” objectives that fit in one breath. • Meisner repetition on camera (reaction shots). Homework: Break down a TV scene into 6 objectives.

Lesson 4 – Hitting Marks & Framing Objective: Technical accuracy without losing truth. • Tape “marks” on floor; practice finding light. • Headroom, rule of thirds, crossing the line. • Walk-and-talk while staying in frame. Homework: Film yourself hitting a mark 5 times cleanly.

Lesson 5 – Subtlety & Less-Is-More Objective: Scale down from stage to screen. • Same monologue from Lesson 4 of Plan 1 – now whispered, then full, then screen version. • Strasberg private moment fully on camera (no projection). • Playback comparison. Homework: Re-film monologue three ways; choose the most truthful.

Lesson 6 – Listening & Reaction on Camera Objective: Master the off-camera listen. • Meisner repetition with one actor on camera, one off. • “Ping-pong” reaction shots. • Record both sides, edit together in phone app. Homework: Record a 2-person scene (self + friend/partner).

Lesson 7 – Emotional Continuity & Beats Objective: Keep truth across multiple takes. • Stanislavski beats in a 2-page scene. • Strasberg “emotion on demand” via sense memory. • 3-take exercise: same line, different tactic. Homework: Shoot 3 takes of your beat change.

Lesson 8 – Self-Tape Technique & Audition Craft Objective: Book the room from your bedroom. • Slate, framing, wardrobe, lighting setup (your pro tips). • Reader direction, slate variations. • Mock audition with timed sides. Homework: Film a full self-tape (2 contrasting scenes) to industry standard.

Lesson 9 – On-Set Etiquette & Multiple Takes Objective: Be a pro on a real set. • 180° line, continuity, “marks,” “rolling,” “cut.” • Rehearse a scene with 5 different director notes. • Group feedback on playback. Homework: Watch 3 film/TV scenes; note actor adjustments between takes.

Lesson 10 – Showcase Reel & Career Next Steps Objective: Perform, edit, and launch. • 3–5 min edited performances (self-tapes + scenes). • Playback + director’s notes simulation. • Final discussion: agents, casting sites, showreels, • Personalised resource list + 30-day practice plan.
